Leo Parente Drives A SimRaceway Formula 3 Race Car – SHAKEDOWN
Leo Parente is at Sears Point / Infineon Raceway and the SimRaceway Performance Driving Center, testing their SRW-F3 racecar. Built by Lola with a full carbon tub, riding on racing slicks, powered by a modded Mitsubishi EVO turbo. 300 hp, 370 lb ft of torque, 1030 lbs light, the power-to-weight ratio of a Bugatti Veyron, 3G cornering, with ‘wings and things’ generating 1500lb of downforce, the SRW-F3 will be quick. Race car tech and lightness vs raw horsepower will make this test drive a real flyer. Plus, the test allows ShakeDown to explain the differences driving a street car fast vs a race car.

this was brought on by the second street racing death in less than 10 days since the San Bernardino County Judge sided with the noise complainants and decided to close the Auto Club Dragway indefinitely. 2 deaths in 10 days and no telling how high the toll will go before someone decides that having that track open serves the public well giving these kids a safe and organized venue to race their cars. Sometimes, it’s best for a few to have to put up with a little noise on Saturday afternoon in order to keep the masses safe.
